Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I

Yes, I'm a geek. Two of my best friends and I went to the midnight opening of Deathly Hallows on November 19th. It was awesome. I think it was the best Harry Potter movie yet. I've seen it twice already. Gabe and I took Liberty to see the movie on Sunday. It was the first HP movie we allowed her to see in the theater. She loved it. I warned her of a few things ahead of time since she's 8, but all around she was great and really enjoyed it. When the last movie comes out in June she wants to go see all 8 in the theaters and go to the midnight opening. We'll see if this happens.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1

I love all the HP books and movies. I believe that the two are separate modes of entertainment. I get enjoyment from both and compare the two, but do not get overly upset when the movie is not exactly like the book. I am concerned about how the last movie will tie up all of the loose ends because there was a lot left out of Half-Blood Prince, but through the magic of movies, I know it will happen. I was sad after reading Deathly Hallows because it was the end of the series. I'll be sad when the movies end as well. There are still stories that could be written. I hope that some day they will be. I would love to read more about Harry and Ginny, Ron and Hermione.

My 10 yr old daughter is a HP fanatic and cannot wait to see "The Deathly Hallows". Trouble is, I came late into the HP fanaticism and I need to catch up on seeing/reading all the movies!
