Barber Motorsports

What an awesome weekend! The IRL held time trials at Barber Motorsports in Birmingham. We drove up Saturday night, enjoyed dinner with some great friends, and stayed at the home of one of my best friends from college. This morning we woke up and enjoyed a home cooked breakfast with the Goldman family before heading to the track to meet up with Mario and Chris.

We started out at the Barber Vintage Motorcycle Museum. Wow! There are some amazing cars and bikes there. You can see part of the track from in the museum as well. We saw a few passes and had to get out there. We went and walked around where the crews and trailers were. We saw Danica Patrick in her trailer. We then went on the roof of the grand stand to watch and take pictures. It was hot in the sun, but cold in the shade. We decided to sit on the hill near turn one. This was an amazing place to take pictures and Liberty was able to run around and have fun. I've included a picture of Danica Patrick driving that I took with my phone. Gabe shot video and took pictures with the camera as well.

We are on the way home. It was a great day. The little one is passed out in the back seat. I'll be glad to get in my bed once we make it home.

Sounds like y'all had fun. I hope you made it home okay. How were the Goldmans? How's that baby of theirs?
